There is no need to allow zonefile transfers out of the master servers except to designated secondaries and a large number of good reasons to deny AXFRs by default - commercial, security and load related. Sorry, I don't buy the arguements about secondarying the entire *.nz space into servers which aren't designated secondaries - it just causes lame server logfile entries and probably results in higher bandwodth consumption than just letting normal DNS NS caching algorithms do their thing - which they do quite efficiently.
