We've had failry consistent :: 30% packet loss :: since the weekend (when we lost all contact with the world :: for 4 hours and :: have had no reply from TelstraSaturn about what happened) :: yet this morning :: that has dropped back to 2% loss. :: :: I've replaced the NICs in our router and got the same packet :: loss result :: (damn it had been running 249 days 24/7 without a blip) so :: started checking :: further afield for problems... pinging our router from my :: home (on 56k :: modem) showed 18-29% packet loss, pinging the next IP out (our IP :: connection at Netlink) showed a 0% loss so I figured the problem lies :: between them and us somewhere.... then this morning :: everything seems to :: have sorted itself out....
