That is precisely my point. I am making a comment about New Zealand culture. If I gave the impression I was expecting a government/arbitary organisation/aliens from Mars to make my lunch for me, oops. One New Zealand telco told me in a job interview I was "too enthusiastic and not a team player." I think that pretty well sums things up.
Note that 64K circuits have never cost US$30K/m in NZ ... China had, and still has, some way to do to catch up, frankly.
Never said they did. You have missed my point. :-) China has gone from less than zero to considerably further ahead in terms of infrastructure. I know, I've been there and built some of it myself. I've been involved in building some of New Zealand's infrastructure, too.
But, Josh, if you really have a concern it has to be better directed and expressed than the comments you make in your post.
I wasn't directing the comments at you or what you/don't represent. I was saying that as a New Zealander very much involved in this particular industry, and having worked internationally, I have a perspective that makes me want to leave in disgust at how far behind New Zealand is. -- Josh Bailey (mailto:joshbailey(a)lucent.com) lucent->ins->software->alameda[CA] --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
