Another Icon of NZ Internet bites the dust ... Those were the days, I remember when we had ns1 running on a Commodore PC-10, running FreeBSD, and we upgraded it to an IBM AIX box. <emotional sniff> Arron Scott (ex DNS Updater from before we figured we could do this with Scripts)

Please note that ns1.waikato.ac.nz will be decommissioned as the public secondary at the end of this month. The new public secondary is pubsec.domainz.net.nz. The charges for the new public secondary are the same as for the old one and will fall due on the same date. There is no charge for the transfer.
If you are responsible for domain names using ns1.waikato.ac.nz can you either transfer them to the new public secondary or to another secondary of your own choosing.
Before the weekend I will be mailing the name holders and technical contacts about the changes, so please bear in mind there will probably be an increase in help desk calls.
Cheers
Andrew
