WTF? Where on earth did you get that idea? Many ISPs run significant links across wireless networks, and it propagates at the same speed as every other technology. Better perhaps, since from memory (it's 25 years since I was a radio technician :-) coax can only get to around 80% of light speed. While some people might have latency, it ain't related to whether the transmission happens over wires and has a lot more to do with the equipment at each end. I'm currently on the end of about 10k of wireless that appears to contribute around 2mS (1/3) to the latency that I see in talking to the office.
