Joe, and someone at Telstra (who would that be ?) ... could you please try to route some of your traffic over the 2Mbps peering circuits in Auckland, as we are routing all our traffic to you this way, and things are looking good there. Unfortunately, for the last number of months you have both been sending all your traffic to NetGate via the NZIX, which is congesting our Hamilton capacity towards Auckland. If you aren't able to configure your routers without using BGP at Hamilton we can work with you to move to BGP soon. Alternatively it would be quite simple for one of us to filter a couple of significant AS's in Auckland to split the traffic if you want. Thanks Arron Scott Telecom NZ Ltd

We are experiencing an unusally high number of reports from customers connecting to CLEAR and XTRA having performance problems FTP'ing to our web servers.
The common element in both Xtra and CLEAR's connectivity to you is NetGate. CLEAR is currently handing off most traffic to NetGate over NZIX (in the absense of anywhere better to do it). We are not experiencing congestion through our network as far as the NZIX switch; you might contact NetGate about any current issues they have reaching NZIX?
Anybody have any knowledge / facts that may explain above?
It seems that you haven't joined the APE yet. This may go some way to explaining the problem (or at least a possible solution :)
