Yep - totally agree.

I'd be interested (and I would consider it on topic) for someone to explain here what an NZ-CERT would provide that CCIP or membership in AusCERT/*CERT would not.
Especially interested in anything which would justify the resources used in its creation and maintenance.

Quite happy to be wrong on this one. I just don't see a current need to re-invent the wheel here. Sure the current wheel might not be painted black with a silver fern on the side, but it's round isn't it?

I am with Neil on this, what I have seen of AusCERT is it is a delayed mimic of CERT (comments welcome on if it does more etc).

But hey if the industry wants to create and fund it nothing stopping it from happening ...
