Hey,

I've heard stories of Citylink having issues on wholesale'd Chorus DFAS circuits in the past where the splitter / LI / monitor circuit was bodged and caused too much attenuation resulting link problems...

Though I haven't ever experienced any issues on my Auckland DFAS circuits.

Would be interested to see some actual spec on this if someone can dig it up.

Cheers

Liam

Does anyone here know what the LFCs are doing for LI on dark fibre? I think most will be some kind of splitter but one LFC is talking about using a 50/50 split introducing 3db of loss into each leg and Id like to get an idea of what the others are doing. Normally Id look at the CFH tech specs but LI on DFAS came after them and theres no reference in the agreements
