Is anyone else suffering from a lack of email notification from Domainz when a domain name moves to a new name service provider?
We haven't had one since Oct 24th, yet domain names have definitely moved since then.
(Domainz are apparently looking in to it - I just wondered how widespread the problem was).
We have noted such problems previously and dont rely on them. Not only do they stop arriving from time to time, but the text on the messages have been tweaked. No fun at all. We solved the problem by writing a script that checks delegation of every zone once a day. If a delegation is changed, we auto notify the customer and wait seven days. If delegation does not return, we auto remove the zone from the name servers. Usually customers either login to our system and disable name service or ring up and ask who moved their name! If any provider with notification problems related to zones moving to/from our name servers, let me know. We can probably auto notify you as well as our customers :-) Regards Peter Mott Chief Enthusiast 2day.com -/- --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
