The current (or immediately past?) thread dealing with Net4U contains some
Just as a point of clarification, sinceit was I who started this thread - I had never intended or expected the thread to devolve into character assassination (well, OK, I didn't intend it, but kinda expected it...). In the past, I've found it pointless to write to abuse(a)net4u as there is never any action or response. The icing on the cake this time was the fact that the ISP itself was spamming. So left with really only 2 effective options, either totally blocking net4u traffic, or posting a message to nznog to stir net4u into action, I chose the latter. If Sahil is genuine in his final response, and desists from spamming, and has resolved the abuse(a)net4u issue, and will take affirmative action against his customers who spam, then something useful will have come out of the thread. I'm prepared to give Sahil the benefit of the doubt, on this very final occassion. Keith Davidson Don Neal wrote: postings which are clearly within this list's acceptable use policy, and some which are not. In brief, postings which discuss operational or technical issues - and an ISP using spam to advertise does look to me like one of those - are in. Postings containing "character assassination or lack of respect for other participants" are out. Whether they cause deformation or not.
For myself, I'd like to see no further additions to the thread unless they
come from people who have something new and relevant to say.
