Interestingly AKL-IX and APE traffic levels are getting pretty close, APE shows 8-9G, as of today AKL-IX shows 5-5.5G
Its going to be interesting watching the graphs over the next year

Akamai traffic will likely hit record highs tomorrow too, given OS X 10.11 is due out. A big month or so with Windows 10 and iOS 9 as well.

Still getting responses off-list, so as an update from myself, I wish to report Joe who's the tech lead for AKL-IX has sent a satisfactory update to AKL-IX peers and if you've got any further questions, suggest you email him.

I will note that Akamai traffic on the IX is now at record highs :)

It may have been an issue on AKL-IX side. I know they're investigating.

Routes from folk who peer at Vocus Albany disappeared but have since returned and everything seems normal now.

For an hour max MTU size for AKL-IX (at least in Vocus DC) was 1478, it was kind of BGP session affecting.
Seems like it's just came back up.
