Andy, Thanks. I'll resist the temptation to join at present, but will ask Dave Harpham our technical guy to sign up. Peter,
You wrote,
We are looking to improve our automated application ...
I assumed that you meant 2Day Internet, which is why I refered to changes
you are wanting to make.
My interest is contributing our experience and resources into a specification which can benefit the entire industry.
I've no issues with that, but Domainz is part of that industry too.
It would be helpful if a technical resource from Domainz could be made available to participate.
If this is an ititiative of the NZOG group[, then again, I have no issues there.
As I admitted in my posting, I do not know the who/what/why of NZOG, nor had any formal invitiation to be involved. Are you formally inviting DOmainz to join on behalf of the group?
What has become clear to us as ... your delivery has been woefully inadequate. Sorry Patrick, but I for one do not believe a word you say.
I note 2Day Internet's personal views and claims.
Sorry Peter, but I do not believe our delivery has been "woefully inadequate". Is this the view of NZOG?
If the point of your seeking Domainz input is to politicise this group, to make Domainz into a political football to push 2Day Internet's or your own
that personal
agenda, then I want no part. I therefore need to re-assess my responses above.
Can someone tell me who is the spokesperson for this group please, what its objectives are, and whether there is a need for DOmainz to be involved?
I don't believe there is a spokesperson for this group but I can state quite clearly here that Peter Mott does not speak for Netlink on this matter or any other. I don't know what agenda Peter is pushing either. Our experience with Domainz is positive with fast turnaround and low fees when compared with overseas registries. I paraphrase Patrick's comments above and direct them to Peter Mott: If the point of your seeking NZNOG input is to politicise this group, to make NZNOG into a political football to push 2Day Internet's or your own personal agenda, then I want no part. This list is open to interested parties - there is no need for a formal invitiation to Patrick or Domainz.
