FWIW everyone watching the NZNOG conference webcast was watching via servers outside of NZ. We gave up and moved to a global CDN. The ingest point was Sydney. Actually there were 2 CDNs, both outside NZ, if we did mobile phones.....memory fade, or lack of sleep. And a further point is that most events we produce have a global audience. For NZNOG the stats currently show that NZ Viewers were only 37% of the audience, which was from 94 countries. NZ audience was 1400, and large audiences in US , Australia, UK, Ireland, etc. I suspect the folks from Moldova and Iran are stats noise. We think the triathlon folks from the Saturday before, were looking for more content........ We'll dig a little deeper.
