You mean something like a network operators mailing list?
I'm not going to wade into this too deeply but I'll offer a little bit of Telco/ISP insight. One thing that used to REALLY piss admins off was..... People posting on mailing lists BEFORE logging a helpdesk ticket. Now I know that sometimes there is a long wait on the phone (smaller the more money you pay). But you NEEED to log that ticket. After you've done that then posting on the list in a format like. "I've noticed this. I've logged a case. Wondering if it's effecting anyone else so what when the tech calls back I can let him know" The reason for this is that for most telcos, the techs can only work on issues that have tickets. Working on something else will get you in trouble. So make it easy for the person who CAN help you, TO help you. Log that case. Dean
