We are seeing some weird issues with downloads from Akamai sourced content to some but not all of our network addresses.

Typically the issues that we see are slow download speeds (20KB/sec) and corrupted downloads (e.g. compressed EXE will not execute).

We first noticed this issue last year with the cut in the fibre between Manila and Hong Kong, but then it cleared up only to recur about a week ago.

 

Two questions:

-          has anyone else in the NZNOG community experienced similar issues in the same timeframe?

-          what is the best avenue to pursue to resolve this issue with Akamai directly?  (I’ve tried e-mailing ccare@akamai.net but have yet to hear back)
