Long time no see Jeremy!!!
I dunno (maybe it was).. When I was looking after STaTuS (Before it was
called ICONZ), We brought 10 IPC's (they where fun and fast in those
days)(really slow in comparison now) and we sold/put a few around the place.
Maybe Bryce or Alan is Lurking around to answer the $10,000 question.
BTW: I loved those sun3's we had at ICONZ (I turned them into 21 ? inch B&W
X terminals) (They where out of date even in those days (over 10 years ago).
Has anyone thrown them out yet?
Maybe someone wants to write the "History of New Zealand Internet". I
remember registering a domain name was as easy as emailing
rexcroft(a)waikato.ac.nz saying I want "blah.co.nz" and it was done. I
remember the days when peering between IHUG and ICONZ was a 2 Metre Length
of Coax Cable.. I remember the days.....
Thanks
Craig Whitmore
