Anyone know about VoIP packets being slowed on either Telecom or Vodafones 3G networks?
I've always had good experiences running VoIP packets over both T3G and Vodafone's 3G network. Of course, I don't form a very large sample. Telecom have in the past spent many an engineer's time on projects to specifically bust the VoIP, however by far their most effective weapon to date is a largely crap (pick your metric) access network. That said, there are some quite impressive RTP/P2P busters available if required - verso.com, amongst others. What's it called, oh yeah, QOS :). As with most providers they're simply reserving the right to block/ jumble/charge a premium for particular traffic types. Each to their own. Cheers, Jonny.
