Yep. The difference in modem hardware and modem compatibility was out shadowed by the generic problems in the IOS that we experienced. At one stage, one cisco engineer suggested that the fact that the american models had an extra 2 modems than the maximum number of channels available to the NAS, vs. NZ, where the maximum # channels = total modems was masking quite a lot of the problems. Hence they seemed to not experience as many of the probs. in the US. The other major factor of course was that for the pilot, the 5200 had plenty of spare modems, and plenty of spare cpu. In reality, it was probably just a very bad pilot......
