That's exactly what I thought. Not to mention that you could get 50 signatures simply by standing on the corner of Queen St and Wellesly St at lunchtime. A friend of a friend (yeah, one of those stories) has raised with him the suggestion that NZ has some system to petition to have someone permanently banned from the Internet. This notional petition only requires 50 signatures.
Can anyone confirm such a beast? I imagine there will be peals of laughter accompanying the reading of this e-mail, and I'll be stunned if someone says it does actually exist, but there's no harm in asking the group of people most likely to know.
