Variant Issues Project -- Latin Case Study Team Issues Report
Hi, ICANN is currently conducting a public comment period on six case studies of individual scripts to investigate any issues that need to be resolved to facilitate a good user experience for IDN variant TLDs. The public comments received will inform the formulation of the combined issues report. If you have an interest in the possibility of IDN variant TLDs, please provide comments by 14 November. The Latin Case Study Team Issues Report and public comment forum can be found at: http://www.icann.org/en/public-comment/idn-vip-latin-07oct11-en.htm Regards, Leo
Hi all; I am giving a small talk on the OpenFlow router I have been working on - may be of interest: http://ecs.victoria.ac.nz/Events/Seminars?rm=details&id=763 Speaker: Josh Bailey Time: Wednesday 9th November 2011 at 04:00 PM - 05:00 PM Location: Cotton Club, Cotton 350 Abstract OpenFlow (http://www.openflow.org) allows the forwarding capabilities of switches and routers to be arbitrarily programmed with an open protocol. This can potentially great simplify router design and enables possibilities like distributed control planes (and distributed routers) and synchronised forwarding table updates among many other things. I will describe a working hardware forwarding OpenFlow router based on the Pica8 3290 switch http://www.pica8.com/products/pronto-3290) and code from the RouteFlow (https://sites.google.com/site/routeflow/) project. -- Josh Bailey
