This is to confirm that the DRS has been amended such that, at registration or change of delegation it carries out authoritativeness checks on the master and first slave name servers only, and no others. The checks that it carries out have also been relaxed, which will overcome some other problems experienced in some quarters. The actual checks that are carried out are currently being documented and will be promulgated by the end of the day tomorrow.
