Can anyone tell me what the name of the Linux spam stopping software is, some one mentioned it a while ago, Email senders have to send a reply to it before it will pass on the email. (I know this description is vague). TMDA Tagged Message Delivery Agent http://www.tmda.net It's not too bad and plugs into most decent MTA's Can be a little bit of a pain if you are not running a standard mail system tho - but otherwise quite nice for the end user - hate to be the admin with all the "please verify yourself" bounces that will more than likely end up in the postmaster box after the message sits in the queue for 5 days as undeliverable. -- Steve.

This software can be very annoying for list owners, especially those who run announcements lists. If you subscribe to a mailing list, be courteous and whitelist the administration addresses, or better still the domain in question. And be sure to educate any users you may provide this service to. -- Dan Langille : http://www.langille.org/
http://sourceforge.net Search for Spam Filter . No shortage. :) I use www.ravantivirus.com for my AV & Spam filtering on Unix box's . Works with both Sendmail & Qmail. Subscriptions are high but it's a good top end solution. For Small/Medium mailers. Hope that helps Matthew G Brown B & R Holdings LTD http://www.brh.co.nz -----Original Message----- From: Terence Bllyth [mailto:t.blyth(a)ctec.co.nz] Sent: 19 May 2003 22:33 To: nznog(a)list.waikato.ac.nz Subject: [nznog] Anti Spam software Can anyone tell me what the name of the Linux spam stopping software is, some one mentioned it a while ago, Email senders have to send a reply to it before it will pass on the email.
