daniel still runs the cvsup.nz.freebsd.org which is pretty good, just need
the distfiles.
If someone gave me a hard drive i'd do it, just at least once a month my
bandwidth intl would be kak with all the downloads.

I was wondering about this myself, even just hosting /usr/ports/ package
folders (not src files)
and a few ISO's would all that is required, and keep them up-to-date
with a cvsup -r off cvs.freebsd.org
Guesstimates

| 1004M   /usr/ports
~ 1 GigaByte for FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE /usr/ports
| $ du -h -d 0 /usr/ports/
| 343M    /usr/ports/
~ 340 MegaBytes /usr/ports for FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE /usr/ports
Aswel as roughly 5 MINIISO's @ ~200MB each
Total Guesstimate: 3 GigaBytes

Contact Dan Langille (dan(a)langille.org, IIRC) if you want to
take over as the official ftp.nz FreeBSD mirror.  The guys at
CallPlus have _NO_ clue about FreeBSD, and I wouldn't be
hugely surprised to find out that the mirror only survived
due to their ignorance.
