Heads-up: AT&T apparently going to whitelist-only inbound mail

person.
I called the number listed and they advised sending details in. You can
ask questions to the email address listed.
The Callcenter person said they had been flooded with calls.

Sounds like a cunning, yet totally and utterly insane ploy. I'm sure they'll get sued by someone for it. AT&T's spam/email virus load must've hit huuuge levels if they've become that desperate. -- Juha

I work for AT&T. This notice looks like mail to AT&T employees on the
internal mail system.
.....not mail to the AT&T ISP.
I know that each morning recently almost 60% of my mail in my work inbox
has been spam.
There are about 30 AT&T employees in NZ, so the impact may be
slight...assuming this applies globally and not just in the US (the
scope of the announcement isn't clear).
