Hi, Can anyone confirm these daylight saving changes for cisco are correct? Solaris and a few other O/S's have already released their patches. Current: clock summer-time nzdt recurring 1 Sun Oct 3:00 3 Sun Mar 2:00 New: clock summer-time nzdt recurring last sun sep 3:00 first sun apr 2:00 Ref: http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.nsf/wpg_URL/Services-Daylight-Saving-Index Can't find anything else on the net where people have discussed this. Cheers Barry

I thought it was more or less standard practice the world over to use UTC internally, and to relegate timezone issues to those who are paid to write customer-facing UIs. Why would you want to deal with daylight savings transitions in your logs? Joe

Or routers/administrators in different timezones. -- Nathan Ward
To me it looks like the times are reversed. New DST begins last Sunday in September at 02:00, ends first Sunday in April at 03:00 So the new config would be something like: clock summer-time nzdt recurring last sun sep 2:00 first sun apr 3:00 Note: the start time is relative to standard time. The end time is relative to summer time. Also, the command will usually appear in your config with "first" changed to "1" Regards, Graeme
