Not strictly network related, but to keep it roughly on-topic I would imagine that the $700m that Fairfax is paying to acquire TradeMe will buy a few beers. Anyone know who Fairfax use for the connectivity? Might we see TM go offline again as corporate IT flexes its institutional stupidity and de-invents the wheel vis peering? -- Matthew Poole "Don't use force. Get a bigger hammer."

Fairfax run stuff.co.nz so I would guess any change would push Trademe closer to them. Stuff appears to be peered across APE and I assume WIX right now. They appear to use AT&T for International and WorldxChange for National (and I would guess some backups). Burns: [voice only] Yes, we've isolated the problem. Wouldn't you know, false alarm. Marge: Phew! Burns: It seems a single wayward crow flew into our warning system. Kent: Very good. Well, sir, your point about nuclear hysteria is well-taken. This reporter promises to be more trusting and less vigilant in the future. Burns: [in his office, still wearing his radiation suit] Excellent. Well, ta! -- Simon J.
