Changes to the exchange bogon lists
First off, sorry for the RPSL spam this morning. I've updated the bogon lists the exchanges use to prevent anyone announcing the exchange networks into the exchanges. It was brought to our attention by Mike Jager at the recent NZNOG conference that someone is already announcing the APE prefix into the APE. This should also make it a little harder for anyone to accidentally provide free transit between the exchanges. Thanks, Dylan

A bit of an update on this, after reviewing things before presenting the results at APRICOT in KL last week. * The lone APE OSPF speaker disappeared on the Friday night of NZNOG. * The number of boxes numbered out of the APE /24 that would deliver a packet internationally for me decreased from 46 to 44 in the month between NZNOG and APRICOT (with the number of boxes responding to an ARP scan of the APE /24 increasing from 75 to 76), so we're now at 58%ish of boxes providing free international transit. Remember that if you're carrying a route for the IXP prefixes internally, your network still has the potential to carry packets between IXPs that you're not being paid for.
