On a related note, all our Clear international bandwidth has gone away also. Clear are obviously having Some Issues at this time. JSR -- John S Russell | "What the hell is he building in there... The Clear Communications operations dude just told us that "some fibres have been cut, somewhere." and that "he didn't have much info at this time." Bodes poorly. Clint said that there was a fibre cut between Auckland and Hamilton.
Apparently it's Telecom fibre, not Clear fibre.
It's seems CLIX and Netgate peer at Waikato, so now I'm getting 600ms ping
times to Netgate connections from CLIX :-(
That on top of total loss of bandwidth at 13:00, which has now improved to
dog slow international access. :-(

Someone on the far end of 0508 555-5000. My staff member didn't log a name. I take it this wasn't the case? As usual, everything just came back to life, and no-one rang to close off the fault ticket. For public record --- I have no idea. I don't work for CLEAR anymore, I was just surprised at the response. I guess some support person knew of multiple faults and assumed they were related. --cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
