Ta - theres over 30TB of disk here and it grows every month. It is backed up. The live servers are replicated in two different buildings, both with UPS and generator and different ISPs. Two other copies are held nearby on other servers (not publicly visible). Disks are just another media to us, like tape stock, so we buy regularly, including backup disks. I'm trying to avoid buying more tape, but its a very good security record when shooting live.

The Super Shuttle is a local franchise operation and doesn't go AKL -> Hamilton (or vice versa) unless you pay the charter rate (quoted in September as $335 one way). That might work if you can fill the shuttle... They were very helpful when I asked, though, and suggested I contact either RoadCat or Bay of Plenty Shuttles instead. There will be hostel accommodation available to be booked through the conference. As it happens I stayed at that Ibis when it was brand new and they had an introductory cheap deal on.
