This actually happened a couple of weeks ago, but usenet.net.nz has been down so I've been unable to post the notice. Central Pacific Imports Ltd, also known as Andre Blenkiron motors. We have terminated service to cpiltd(a)manawatu.gen.nz - this is/was the listed domain contact for cars.co.nz and a group of other domains registered through Ihug and elsewhere. The car.co.nz (*) domain has been spamming via email and usenet for some time, mainly from Xtra dialups. As soon as we became aware of it(**) and the records linking it to our domain(***), we suspended the account and required that they sign a written agreement to cease posting unsolicited commercial email and Usenet posting from any ISP in order to regain their account on ours. Central Pacific Imports have refused to do so - this is a fairly good indication that they know they're spamming and have every indication of continuing to do so. CPI currently have a Paradise.net.nz connection, judging from attempts to access the disabled account. (*) No relation to cars.co.nz (**) Spam arriving in our traps on November 27th originating from Xtra, confirmed by Dejanews searches. (***) Whois lookups while preparing LARTS showed cpiltd(a)manawatu.gen.nz as the domain contact for this and several related domains.
