Hi There, Anyone know whats happened to this ntp server(s)? Im getting a connection timeout from a few days ago... # rdate -s nz.pool.ntp.org rdate: connect: Connection timed out Simon
I'm in the nz.pool (time.fast.co.nz) and i'm getting heaps of requests and
my updates are fine too.
Maybe try ntpdate -u nz.pool.ntp.org

Most of the servers in the pool will only support ntp. rdate is a different (and nowhere near as good) protocol. You need to use ntpdate or another ntp client. The servers in the pool are monitored and if they are unreachable should be automaticly removed fairly quickly from DNS. -- Simon J. Thanks Simon and List... All sorted now using "ntpdate -u nz.pool.ntp.org" Regards, Simon
