I'm seeing funnies to smtp.xtra.co.nz --- basically some connections when sending email are terribly slow, while others work perfectly well. Does anyone know if this address is a load-balancer or something? If that's the case then it might be a host behind it is a bit sick or something... I'm seeing 10 second delays or more between having received a TCP ACK and getting an SMTP ACK back. The helpdesk didn't seem too interested, I didn't even ask if they wanted to see my packet dumps[1] :) --cw [1] Another outstanding pickup line. --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
I am experiencing the same problem from time to time. - Yes, I have a feeling that it is load balanced. - Xtra will give you the details of the actual servers if you like. (there is about 6 of them) DB -----Original Message----- From: owner-nznog(a)list.waikato.ac.nz [mailto:owner-nznog(a)list.waikato.ac.nz]On Behalf Of Chris Wedgwood Sent: Monday, 6 August 2001 5:19 p.m. To: nznog(a)list.waikato.ac.nz Subject: smtp.xtra.co.nz --- sick?
