Hi,
University of Waikato will be changing the phase of power of the rack where NZIX switches are housed( not ISPs' equipment) to reduce the load. Because of the redundant configuration of NZIX, we would be able to maintain the network availability of NZIX but inevitably it will cause the short outage when the customers' equipments are repatched to the redundant NZIX switch and when they are connected back to the primary NZIX switch. It would cause less than 40 seconds for each patching for each ISP router. It will occur during 4-6AM Sunday, August 29 1999. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause.
Regards, Dennis
