Hi, So Don's post made me think about how many networks do we have active today at 30 years old. What have I missed or which ones shouldn't be on here? So I skimmed the Chorus service providers list and the Wispa list but I didn't bother with the ISPANZ list or the NZNOG list (sorry mods) and came up with this (the count is the number of times they appeared in the Chorus Regions or WISPA list): 15 Wireless Nation 15 PrimoWireless 14 Worldnet 14 Warner Telecommunications Ltd 14 Wanna 14 Voyager 14 Vorco 14 Vodafone 14 Vocus 14 Telnet 14 Spark Digital 14 Solarix Networks Limited 14 Slingshot 14 SecureCom 14 PlanB 14 Orcon 14 New Zealand Technology Group 14 Network Edge 14 NOW 14 Kordia 14 Kiwilink 14 Inspire Net 14 HD Net 14 Business Technology Group 14 ACS Data 14 2degrees 13 Devoli 13 DTS 12 Xtreme Networks 12 2Talk 11 MyRepublic 10 Digital Island 9 nzwireless 9 Trustpower 6 Lightwire 5 Lightwire Business 5 Compass 4 Smartlinx 3 3 Vector 3 Trust Power 3 Hi-Tech Solutions 3 Fusion Networks 3 Fastcom 3 CityLink 2 Velocitynet 2 Unifone 2 NorthCloud 2 Network Tasman 2 Gisborne.net.nz 2 Bryte Internet Solutions 1 yrless 1 Zelan 1 Wireless Dynamics 1 Wifi Connect 1 Wicked Networks 1 Wanna Internet 1 WIZwireless 1 Vibe Communications 1 VelocityNet 1 Unicom New Zealand Ltd 1 Ultimate Broadband 1 The Pacific.net 1 Taylor Communications 1 OnNetworks 1 NetSpeed 1 Megatel 1 MATnet 1 Kiwi Wifi 1 Inspire 1 Fusion 1 Ezykonect 1 Evolution Networks 1 CountryNet 1 Connecta 1 AoNet Broadband 1 Amuri Here's the same list but using the Chorus Residential (instead of business) list: 15 Vorco 15 Vodafone 15 Slingshot 15 PrimoWireless 15 Devoli 14 Worldnet 14 Warner Telecommunications Ltd 14 Wanna 14 Telnet 14 Stuff Fibre 14 Spark 14 Orcon 14 New Zealand Technology Group 14 NOW 14 MyRepublic 14 Kiwilink 14 Inspire Net 14 ICONZ 14 Econofibre 14 Compass 14 Big Pipe 14 2degrees 14 2Talk 13 Skinny Broadband 12 Trustpower 10 Voyager 9 Vocus 8 nzwireless 6 Unlimited Internet 6 Nova Energy 4 Smartlinx 3 4 Farmside 3 Wireless Nation 2 Velocitynet 2 Unifone 2 Speedster Ltd 2 NorthCloud 2 Megatel 2 Gisborne.net.nz 1 yrless 1 Zelan 1 Wireless Dynamics 1 Wifi Connect 1 Wicked Networks 1 Wanna Internet 1 WIZwireless 1 VelocityNet 1 Unicom New Zealand Ltd 1 Ultimate Broadband 1 The Pacific.net 1 Taylor Communications 1 OnNetworks 1 NetSpeed 1 MATnet 1 Lightwire 1 Kiwi Wifi 1 Inspire 1 Gisborne 1 Ezykonect 1 Evolution Networks 1 CountryNet 1 Connecta 1 Bryte 1 AoNet Broadband 1 Amuri And this is the two combined (with some edits to remove obvious overlaps). Good list but I know a few LFCs that could be recognised (Ultrafast fibre, Enable networks and Northpower Fibre).
Does Counties Power still run their network and provide some rural connectivity for the major players? I’m not sure if Transpower’s network would count but I understand that they have partially fund cables used by others or is that outside the scope?
Cheers,

And with those LFCs, we could also add in Electricity Asburton and Unison.
Mustn't forget PowerFibre who operates in Marlborough either.
