Is it just our cache, or does http://www.wix.net.nz/ point at a page entitled "Wellington Tramping and Mountaineering Club"?
Joe
Nope it's not you - it seems to look that way from here too. I hope it's not a hint that we should all get out more =) Dean (In his new life as a vendor) --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

MDN> MDN>I hope it's not a hint that we should all get out more =) Is it hosted on a HTTP/1.1 web server using a single IP + Host headers to identify the web site? Not all proxies and browsers support this, so you get the "default" site. Otherwise, it is someone's subtle hint we are a pack of layabouts, who sit on their butts all day :). Or it's a description on exactly how the CityLink fibre is routinely
strung round the city centre...

More subtly, the DNS does point to a HTTP 1.1 server, but that server hasn't been told it's the server for www.wix.net.nz. I could fix it, but then all you'd see would be the null web server, and I figure the WTMC has a much more interesting webspace. Presumably when I or somebody else writes something useful for the space it'll get fixed.

The though had never crossed my mind :-).

Only _really_ old browsers and proxies are going to get hit by this, the proxy jabley uses is HTTP/1.1 aware (squid 1.1.18).
