NZNOG2015 Sponsorship update: Platinum sponsor announcement and opportunity to be the last GOLD sponsor
Hi Everyone, I've got some more information regarding the conference. This one concerns sponsorship, so if you're a company who generally sponsors NZNOG tune in. If I interrupted you from BGP config, then as you were. As part of feedback from sponsors in previous years, we've made some changes to the way that the NZNOG conference sponsorship packages are structured. 1) We've limited the numbers at the top end. Sponsors were concerned that they were only 'one of many'. We've limited the number of slots to: Platinum: 1 slot Gold: 3 slots Silver: 5 slots Community: 6 shots We've also kept slots for things like "Networking Drinks" "Conference Dinner" and "Bandwidth Sponsor" so people can tailor what they want to support. Once the slots are filled however, thats it until the following year. We will be running tier wait-lists on a first come, first served basis. Which brings us to.... 2) In the following year. Existing sponsors will be given first right of refusal for their sponsorship spots. AusNOG works this way and the feedback from sponsors was that it allowed them a greater ability to plan ahead. There will be a cut off date within which the existing sponsor can re-confirm. If they don't then the spot will be offered to the next company on the wait-list for that tier. 3) We're also lifting the dollar amount for each of the sponsor tiers. Phew, Thats out the way. So under those new guidelines, the trustees approached the 2014 conference sponsors and offered them first preference at the slots. I'm happy to say that we've filled our PLATINUM sponsor slot this year with a long time supporter... ******* Go Wireless NZ Ltd. ******* Thanks to Dale and his team for continuing to be a great supporter of NZNOG. We've also filled all but one of our allocated GOLD sponsor slots with Vocus Citylink. So there's only one more Gold slot left. We're also running an early bird special. If you confirm NZNOG2015 sponsorship slots before the 31st of July, we'll invoice you at the 2014 rate rather than the new 2015 rate. For GOLD this is a 50% saving! So if you're an organisation who would like that GOLD spot, now is the time to make that commitment. You can download the sponsor document here (http://goo.gl/mdhu6p) and email sponsorship(a)nznog.org to register your interest. See you all at the conference! Regards, Dean
