Auckland/PN "road trip" bus cancelled
Hi folks We haven't had enough people to warrant hiring a bus (needed about a dozen minimum). Unless another 5 people jump up immediately, the proposal won't proceed... We might still look at using a smaller vehicle, but it won't be as much fun. Sorry folks... I was really looking forward to doing this. -Martin PS: no, there won't be another chance next year because the people I was getting the bus from are retiring and selling their buses.

Good luck !! If people get desperate and I mean *desperate*, it looks like I will be driving from AKL to WLG on Wednesday 31 Jan, with a van and may have some space. The van *will* be loaded, but there may be a spare seat in the front, and room in the back. The back will have some roadcases and dishes and no seats, but if you're *desperate*, we can go via PNN and drop you off. We'll be based at Papatoetoe/Manakau. The van has no windows in the back, seating will be the floor or a jump seat. There will also be a van going WLG to PNN return on Friday 2 Feb - as it appears Jonny has got me to speak. Rich WARNING - we tend to only stop for diesel and pies, typically at Cambridge and Taihape. This van is rumoured to have longer range, so it may be Taihape only. Or you may wind up pushing if we do the calcs wrong :->
Ok if you have missed out on Martin's Bus offer, check out http://auckland.thursdaynightcurry.com/index.cgi?Auckland-PN for rides. Reminder Monday 29 Jan is a public holiday in Auckland. regards lin
