I have seen spam 'from' brandebank(a)brandebank.com arrive at a number of addresses today, at least one of them is fairly new, and I have never posted it anywhere public that is likely to have been trawled. Anyone else seen these? Are they a symptom of the mass spam that had QSI blocking the majority of Latin American and the Caribbian? -- Dylan Reeve - dylan(a)wibble.net It's just not cricket. - To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
I noted a bunch of them targetted at NZLUG - owner-nzlug, nzlug-approval both recieved examples. Also A bunch of emails on my domain name, including ones only ever published on the web or in the text of emails and not used as from-addresses. Im guessing they were picked up through web trolling of local sites (list archives). The serving MTA is Korean - so I do think its unrelated to the QSI Incident. I did get a couple of responses to my earlier post which seemed to indicate QSI were not the first ISP hit by this sort of attack of late, either. I also had this URL passed to me today: http://www.msnbc.com/news/790812.asp?0dm=N13LT Maybe people are just feeling angsty? At 17:24 7/08/02 +1200, Dylan Reeve wrote:
