www.jetstream.co.nz branding Xtra after Telecom Web Site Change
Hi everyone... I've noticed after Telecom have revamped their new web site they are now pushing alot for Xtra on the Jetstream Web Site (http://www.jetstream.co.nz). Before the change.. it used to be "ISP Neutral", but now.. its Xtra, Xtra, Xtra :-( I don't know what other people (ISP's including) think.. but I think it should be back to how it was, not pushing any particular ISP, but explaining the service and then giving a list of ISP's to go to get Jetstream from. The First sentence "Get fast Internet access with JetStream. Join Xtra - New Zealand's leading Internet Service Provider." makes it look like Xtra is the only ISP who can offer the service. then "Get online with Xtra"... etc etc Even the links to order it.. make it look like Xtra only as it asks if you want as part of SkyFi as you can only get SkyFi by using Xtra as your ISP I talk for myself with these comments, not anyone I work with/for Thanks Craig Whitmore http://www.nzdsl.co.nz New Zealand DSL Information --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Thats a mighty fine point you have their Craig. If this list needs any form
of endorsement you defintely got mine.
Neutral is always good, and unfair when the "Leading" in "Leading ISP" has
very little to do with service (when thats what the "S" in "ISP" stands
for).
And I cant find Maxnet anywhere on that List of Available ISP's???

Isn't this a lesson that says not to rely on the goodwill of a monopoly
provider, but to do something yourself instead?

History has shown that neither the New Zealand public nor any government in the last ten years is capable of making any changes to assist in getting real competition. Personally I welcome the competition. The more users that Telecom sign up with Xtra the bigger my market becomes ;) Cheers BG. --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

I found it following a link from this page: http://www.telecom.co.nz/content/0,2502,200338-200555,00.html Well thanks to Craig for pointing it out. It doesn't surprise me. I am sure resellers loved filling in forms after we were told they "forgot to move the online order form pages" in the redesign etc Lin ps I think we should take this off nznog to nznet
