I'm not sure it's ever existed as anything more than an idea, but the plans to establish CHIX are well underway - we've lain our first fibre, we've space to house route servers. I would expect a formal announcement pretty soon - if not by the end of this year, then certainly by the time of NZNOG conf. So if you're interested in participating, get in touch. Cheers Si
