A year or maybe two back, Andy presented a demo of some software that CityLink were using that if I recall did both the IPAM And inventory function. I think it was an open source system from a US university but I can't remember what it was called. If you can can you let me know. Thanks. Glen.
Thanks for the replies. NetDot it was.

On that note, an up-vote for netdot. Been using it for a year or so, apart from version upgrades and the initial install being a PITA it's a really good management tool :) -- Liam Farr +64-22-6107884 +64-27-5222624 Sent from my iPhone

If you use FreeBSD, there's a package :) Ok, we really need to get those Debian and Ubuntu packages finished... Good to know you're using it. There's some active work being done right now to improve performance on the DB side, which incidentally will move to Postgres by default. If more people here are using NetDot, we'd like to hear about it! Or what's keeping you from using it in your workplace. Cheers, Phil Regnauld Network Startup Resource Center

Is anyone else having trouble with the SSL certificate for that site? Chrome doesn’t have a certificate for the CA that signed osl.uoregon.edu’s certificate (GlobalSIgn) even though it doesn’t have a problem with GlobalSign’s corporate web page which is behind an EV certificate. Cheers, Lloyd

Which OS ? No problem here on OS X. [insert joke about Apple and SSL]

I’m on OS X Mavericks with Chrome 33.0.1750.117. Safari works fine and Chrome uses the Apple Keychain for it’s CAs, so I’m a bit mystified. I updated Chrome a day or so ago, so that’s a recent change for me. I had weird issues with a Mikrotik’s web interface last night in Chrome that Safari didn’t suffer from. Maybe I should reboot? If it can fix all known Windows problems it might work for me?

It's just that the site is missing the intermediate cert in the chain, which is why some browsers will throw an error

No. I logged out and logged back in and Chrome no longer complains. Shrug. I had restarted Chrome, so I guess some kind of keychain helper was busted. Cheers, Lloyd

Here's a quick way to check these things: http://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html#hostname=%20https://osl.uoregon.e... As you can see, the GlobalSign intermediates are missing in the chain. (you can also use 'openssl s_client -connect osl.uoregon.edu:443 -verify' if you prefer)
