I've just been informed that TelstraClear has quietly stopped wholesale access to its cable network. While it has been a stupid situation over the last few years in that TelstraClear has been selling wholesale access that is slower and more expensive than their retail offering (and complaining about Telecom doing the same on their network), to just stop all together seems bizarre. Another interesting decision from TelstraClear's wholesale department to go right along with their starting the whole de-peering mess I suppose. All at the same time that the TelstraClear technical people have been doing a nice job of improving access and redundancy to the cable network, I'm guessing no one has told the techs....
Tony, Just wondering where you heard this as I am sat at home right now on a Wholesale TelstraCable connection that runs straight into our network. If they are dropping wholesale I'll have a busy week next week moving our customers. Hmm.. Get the commerse comission onto them! Split the company up! Fire the CEO! I will be following my own lines of investigation on this one. Regards, Joe. Bill Walker wrote:

<snip> Tony, don't sweat it. I hear the growth prospects are better in Myanmar anyway.
