Re: [nznog] Oh dear, no more room on the intarweb
I've tried to buy commercial IPv6 connectivity in NZ. I can't buy it, full stop. -----Original Message----- ... IPv6 has been well-and-truly implemented. It's the deployment that's missing. To replay a conversation that we had in Wellington earlier in the year: Deployment costs money; money requires budget; budget requires either revenue or cost reduction (or both). Who is willing to pay more for IPv6, given that pretty much the only extra content available for your money will be a lonely, somewhat poorly-animated Japanese turtle? (Don't all shout at once.)
Philip, Your correct there is no commercial offering that I know of out there at the moment. If someone out there is doing so speak up :) Even though I have finished the IPv6 backbone on WxC there's still work to do before we can offer IPv6 to customers on a commercial plan. Saying that we have tested IPv6 over the current UBS offering and have found it works fine Term At 10:04 PM 5/7/2006, Philip D'Ath wrote:
