Hmm ping times to it just went to about 4 seconds, 80% packet loss. It's still answering name queries but it's a bit of a worry. Hopefully if it's a real problem Domainz will fix it when they get back to work :( -- Simon Lyall. | Newsmaster | Work: simon.lyall(a)ihug.co.nz System/Network Admin | T&C Enforcement | Home: simon(a)darkmere.gen.nz The Internet Group, Auck. | Asst Doorman | Web: Currently Offline --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
Simon, We are getting an average of about 70 milliseconds from Wellington, with zero packet loss. This tends to be our norm. Are you still experiencing difficulty here? And yes, we are at work. The DOMAINZ corporate front in wellington is neither use nor ornament. The fact that waikato have stopped processing registration and change of delegation requests has *really* annoyed some of our customers who were planning to make changes to their web hosting arrangements over the next few weeks when they are not distracted by day to day business. And what happens if somebody needs an urgent change of delegation as a result of a Y2K related problem? Well they will have to wait until zone rebuild late on Jan 6. This issue has been raised in the public media, messsages sent to every ISOCNZ councillor. Not a word from any of them. Same answer as always. No answer. regards Peter Mott Chief Enthusiast 2Day.com -/- --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
