Christchurch Earthquake - Let us know if you need anything...
Everyone. People should feel free to use this list for asking and offering help regarding the recent Christchurch earthquake. Establishing and maintaining communication is going to be essential over the next few days and I'm sure I speak for all NZNOG participants when I say that whatever help we can provide people on the ground will be willingly given. Just let the community know what you need. Regards, Dean

I'm in Auckland, but happy to help out with router or server clue if you can't get time from your local engineers, or if they're better utilised elsewhere. I've got servers around the place, so if you need stable MX or DNS or whatever I'm happy to help out. Even if you just need someone to sit on hold to a transit provider to get a service rebuilt or something like that. +64-21-431675 nward(a)braintrust.co.nz -- Nathan Ward

Thanks for that offer Nathan. That was the sort of thing I had in mind. Given that local engineers will be worrying about things like their families, maybe those of us in other locations can help take some of the load. Keep the offers coming. Dean

Last time there were only a handful of cell sites without power (less

[Sent to Dean P only by mistake...] Don Christie et al have set up: business.eq.org.nz I've seen quite a few offers of help on NZNOG, and was wondering if those wanting to offer support, facilities and services could post those on the above site? Thanks, -- Juha
