Networkstuff promotion
Hello all. I have just gone through and added a few names to the no-contact list although only about 50% of the people posting so far in this subject so far were ever emailed in the first place. At last count, about 5 or 6. The actions of some in threatening mail blocks and in continuing this on NZNOG has made it rather hard for me to asertain who would like to be added. I have already discussed it with others, some who would rather keep the pot boiling... for no obvious reason.... I have tried to sort this out with as many people as possible. So I repeat - contact me directly with your details and it will happen. I sincerely apologise again to all who were offended. // Michael Hallager Director || Head geek || Making IT work. Rather remove everyone you manually added to the mailing list and let them find your website on their own, if they want to be added they will opt in. Hello all.
I have just gone through and added a few names to the no-contact list
How about just admiting you made a mistake and adding everyone in nznog that you sent an unsolicited message to to your no-contact list, so we don't hear from you again. Problem solved.

Make that 6 or 7 then, since I received one as well. At the time I didn't think it was worth responding to it in any way, but since you seem unrepentant in your stance, and are even unable to see how you might have upset a large number of people, I thought I'd add another "me too". As someone whose responsibilities involve combating the onslaught of spam and maintaining spam filtering systems, to see such a post come from a long time member of nznog is disapointing to say the least. Regards, Simon

I think the general consensus would seem to imply NO ONE wants to be added. Make your list a blog of somekind, post an RSS feed on the list, let those who want to read it read it, let those who want to black hole you do so - they may be missing out on the next-best-thing ( but then, we already have sliced bread don't we - what more do we need? ). amrk -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFBaPU1jj20CYVIinURAlaUAJ9XFzl7bJsHXNXQX9NBJ6LCS789IgCeOs0a vZQqsQ3vWehMbuIqFVrvU+Q= =0gvZ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
