There was also a rumor floating around that Walker Wireless had signed some deal with Sky City which gave them exclusive use of 2.4Ghz off the tower, and that anyone else wanting to use that band would have to go find another high place.

I have investigated this alot recently. The answer is that Walker Wireless have the first right to use of the Sky Tower as a beaming point. THis is not exclusive though.
