Responses to Letter from ING
I'm inquiring if any ISP or like body knows of any business who responded to ING's letter and either changed their mind or now wishes they changed their mind? TVNZ are doing an article on the letter and would like to be able to interview someone who was taken in by it or at the minimum who was going to take it up until they sought advice. Also any indications from ISPs as to how many calls they have recived about the letter would be useful. If you know of anyone can you pass on their contact details to me or alternatively get them to contact me by e-mail or on 04 471 9353, preferably by midday tomorrow. I am suprised by one thing - I've heard stuff about it here, and I've heard stuff about it in Aussie, but I havn't heard any journalists making the link. ING appears to be have some "unique" business practices on both sides of the Tasmin. BTW, I am unaware of any of our customers contacting us about this. We were going to send out a warning letter, but decided it wasn't worth it. Cheers, David Gottschalk Web InterNet Ltd On Wed, 5 Sep 2001, David Farrar wrote:

I mentioned this to TVNZ and gave them the phone number of the .auDA CEO so if TVNZ do run a story on it they will hopefully mention this aspect. ING for those who don't know has been banned from doing mass whois queries on .au.
