Hi all I have had an enquiry about e-mail lists in New Zealand for ISP operations, with the idea of adding these to a compilation of such lists for the region. The results will be posted on NANOG. It seems to me that NZNOG is a good candidate. What do you think? Would you like NZNOG added to such a list? By the way, NZNOG currently allows posting from "non-members". Are there other NZ ISP operations lists that should be included in such a compilation? I'd support this. andy -- On Fri, 18 Sep 1998, John Houlker wrote:

Yup.

Umm... I can't see what harm it would do - but I fail to see the benefits either.

Probably best to stay that way until NZNOG better represents NZ network operations - the last time I did a 'who', there were obvious gaps where people who should be on the list were not. -cw --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog

The benefits are presumably to publicise a forum for talking to people about
the Internet in NZ... on the off-chance that a network somewhere else in the
world has similar issues to us, or is simply interested. This isn't so remote
a possibility, I would think.

Sounds good. (We have a number of people within CLEAR and CLEAR Net on the list.) --Olof --------- To unsubscribe from nznog, send email to majordomo(a)list.waikato.ac.nz where the body of your message reads: unsubscribe nznog
