NZNOG11 :: Jan 24 - Jan 28 :: Wellington, New Zealand :: Registration open
Finally and at last registrations are open for NZNOG11. http://2011.nznog.org In a fairly open attempt to bribe you all to register quickly, if you register by 31 December 2010 you'll go into the draw to win a 64GB WiFi+3G iPad. NZNOG 2011 : Jan 24 - Jan 28 Intercontinental Hotel, 2 Grey St Wellington, New Zealand Following last years success we are having three day workshops Monday 24 January to Wednesday 26 January, with the conference tutorial day on Wednesday 26 January and the main conference on Thursday 27 January and Friday 28 January. The program is looking pretty sharp again this year, with some great speakers for the main conference including Mike Hughes (until quite recently, London Internet Exchange), Bill Woodcock, (Packet Clearing House), Brian Carpenter (University of Auckland) and Gaurab Raj Upadhaya (Limelight Networks). A big thanks to all of our sponsors - NZNOG couldn't happen without their generosity. In particular our hosts Vodafone, and our platinum sponsor, Vocus. Cheers Gerard For the NZNOG11 Org Team

Gerard mentioned that there's no accommodation deal. However there is a Wotif Summer sale! http://www.wotif.com/hotel/View?hotel=W2874&page=5&viewType=all It shows rooms still avail. If you +$75 for 2 doubles in the same room (cheaper than the Masters package), 2 - 4 ppl could fit in there (depending on how friendly you wish to get)! No idea how many of these rooms are available for that sale. May be even possible to ask they allocate our rooms together ie in the same floor/corridor. However let's do that after bookings confirmed etc... Check other last minute booking sites ALso the Google Maps location page for the hotel has ability to book via sites like hotels.com, booking.com and expedia http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=11056804139939502323 hope that helps regards lin Google Maps location page for Intercontinental Wellington also has links to various review sites. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?cid=11056804139939502323 Here's a blog review I found http://se.id.au/2010/12/a-stay-at-the-intercontinental-wellington/

Hey, you found my blog post! ;-) Anyway, enjoy. I wish I could make it over but alas I have a conflicting event on the Friday evening in Sydney. For other accommodation options in Wellington (especially for groups) - the Boulcott Suites over on O'Reilly Ave aren't bad either for serviced apartments and it's only 5 mins walk from the InterContinental. -Shaun
